Amazon MP3 Announces “Daily Deals” and “Friday Five”

Yesterday, Amazon announced Daily Deals and Friday Five, a pair of ongoing promotions that offer customers deep discounts on select newly released and catalog albums from bestselling artists on Amazon MP3, Amazon.coms digital music download store with more than 5.4 million DRM-free MP3 tracks. Daily Deals is updated daily and offers a popular album at a significantly discounted price; Friday Five offers five great albums for $5 every Friday and through the weekend. In celebration of Coldplays new album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, available on Amazon MP3 for just $8.99, this weeks Daily Deals will be their preceding albums. X&Y will be available today for $1.99, A Rush of Blood to the Head will be available on Wednesday for $1.99, Parachutes will be available on Thursday for $1.99 and Brothers and Sisters will be offered on Friday for 99 cents. Past Daily Deals have included Madonnas Hard Candy at $3.99, Led Zeppelins Mothership at $4.99 and Weezers Pinkerton at $1.99.

This weeks Friday Five albums will be the Rolling Stones Let It Bleed, Frank Sinatras The Essential Frank Sinatra, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss Raising Sand, Linkin Parks Minutes to Midnight and Andrea Bocellis Vivere The Best Of, for $5 each.
